Training practice
Chase Meadow Health Centre is a training practice accredited to support the education and development of medical students and doctors who are training to become General Practitioners (GPs).
As part of this role, the practice hosts GP specialty trainees (First Years – FY1 -FY3 & Second Years – ST1 -ST3), foundation doctors, and medical students. These doctors work alongside our clinical team and gain valuable experience in general practice while being supervised by our experienced GPs.
When you attend an appointment, you may sometimes be seen by one of our GP registrars. A GP registrar is a fully qualified doctor who is undertaking specialist training in general practice and works under the supervision of our GP trainers.
Training practices must meet strict standards set by organisations such as the General Medical Council and Health Education England. Our GP trainers are experienced clinicians who have completed additional qualifications in teaching, supervision, and assessment.
We are proud to support the training of future doctors in partnership with Warwick Medical School at the University of Warwick. In December, our practice was recognised by Warwick Medical School for going above and beyond in delivering high-quality training sessions.
Being a training practice helps create a positive learning environment while continuing to provide safe, high-quality care for our patients.
Our Registrars are listed in our staff roles.
GP net earnings
All GP practices are required to declare the mean earnings (i.e. average pay) for GPs working to deliver NHS services to patients at each practice.
The average pay for GPs working in Chase Meadow Health Centre in the last financial year was £57,991 before tax and National Insurance. This is for 3 full time GPs, 2 part time GPs and 0 locum GPs who worked in the practice for longer than six months.
